"Qazan" Business Incubator is a project established by IMIC. Our aim is supporting ideas or existing businesses to get on the fast track to the success and have better chances of attracting venture capital. “Qazan” provides incubation, acceleration and funding that ensure the achievement of stated goals. The main advantage of “Qazan” Business Incubator is the chance to get an investment of amount up to 500,000 AZN. Our project lumps together startup incubators, accelerators and other similar hybrid models. All those who are still learning the basics of transforming an idea into a business plan are welcome to participate in our program.

Building a company is hard, especially in the first year when there are limited resources and support, clearly all you have is YOU (maybe a co-founder) and the belief that you can do great things. Startups gain a great opportunity to work alongside IMIC team while collaborating with “Qazan”.

The main goal of the project is making founders and companies successful and developed. We believe that while practice is the engine of innovation, connection and collaboration are the fuel. Our intention is bringing together the right mix of people, with shared intentions and similar values. “Qazan” project provides services for new entrepreneurs with all the necessary support for innovation, including transparency, empathy, social support, compassion, connection and the opportunity for creative collision. The first stage of the incubation process is Selection. A participant should fill the application form in order to start the incubation process. The "application form" was created to make easy apply "Qazan". The applicants are able to find it either on the Social media or IMIC's website. In the application form, applicants fill the information about the idea/existing business. Our intention for the creation of the “Application Form” is to receive detailed information about the project and to be able to evaluate it rationally.

“Investment Committee” will evaluate the future feasibility of the project and selected projects will proceed to the deal stage. Shortlisted candidates will present their project to “Investment Committee”. Afterwards, “Qazan” arranges conditions and agreement between IMIC and project representative(s). That will include non-disclosure (NDA), copyright agreement and etc. Documents will confirm that any information about the project will not be revealed to the third party during the project or when it will be finalized. These also legally confirm that owner’s rights which belong to the sole proprietor of the project will be protected under the law.

Purpose of the "Qazan", is to help to the innovative projects/existing businesses get on the fast track to success. We create opportunities for startups to access human and financial capital. “Qazan” supports project founders to better understand their customer, anticipate problems, and leverage their assets. We make use of our expertise, experience, and network to work with founders and solve project’s biggest challenges together. Our team members’ full support will be beneficial for building a fully established company.

In addition to the provision of physical space, we significantly support these startups, by business consulting, help in preparing effective business plans, administrative services, technical support, business networking, and product development. There will be an effective co-operation between "Qazan" and project representatives. Our business incubator assists the project to prepare financial models and attract investment during the acceleration process. Thus, this enables our partners to have a more reliable and precise business route.

During the completion stage - the final phase of the incubation process, the project will be registered as a company in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Afterwards, "Qazan" team members will focus all their attention on promoting the established company in the market. Mutual feedback and communication between partners will prevail a business-friendly environment. At the end of the completion stage incubation process of project finishes and transforms into an independent company.

The relationship between the "Qazan" and the company enhances after the launch. The main purpose of the Alumni program is to assist and support a network of projects which transform into independent companies. Well-Informed alumni can be powerful representative of “Qazan”. Alumni program members can share their experiences with start-ups and idea owners. The mission of Alumni program is to motivate our new members to develop their ideas and to settle and keep relationships with “Qazan”s beneficiaries.
